Where the entire system comes crashing down is the mostly broken DVR web interface. The provided Cat5 cables are sufficient length for most houses and being POE (powered through the network cable itself) no additional cabling is required to power the cameras.īeing IP cameras they can be viewed individually in a browser but the feeds often fail leaving only a static image. The cameras are OK and housed in good aluminium cases with slightly passable weather resistant connectors. It 'kind of' does the job but is so suspiciously insecure, dysfunctional and unsupported it will likely cause you grief in the end This is one of those 'you get what you pay for' things. But safely connecting it to your home or business internet is a huge security risk and requires significant IT knowledge to make it dubiously safe.Don't put this on your network. If you just want to record footage, view it directly on the DVR, then it's probably enough. The 'Support' page on their website says it all "oops The page you were looking for doesn't exist" (see photo) There's no way I'd install it on my phone but most phone browsers don't support Flash so better just to give it all a miss.ĭon't expect any support from the company such as firmware downloads. It has to be assumed that your camera feeds will end up open to the internet for anyone to see. It has a store to 'cloud' option but given their abysmal attitude toward security and functionality I wouldn't trust the operators have any respect for your private spaces, footage or network at all. It can only be concluded that systems like this are purposely insecure and likely back-doored in multiple ways.
